Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms govern your use of Batch Code Checker, the free tool for decoding cosmetic and perfume batch codes. By using the site you agree to them.

1. What the service does

The site decodes batch codes using publicly documented manufacturer coding systems and returns an estimated manufacturing date, an expiry date derived from the brand's shelf life, and a freshness status. It is an informational tool.

2. Estimates, not guarantees

Decoded dates are estimates. Manufacturers may change their coding systems, may apply different formats to different product lines, and may apply regional variations. A result from this tool is a reference point — never a safety-critical decision. For anything involving allergies, medical use or product safety, confirm directly with the manufacturer.

3. Not a authenticity certificate

A successful decode does not prove that a product is genuine. Counterfeiters can replicate printed batch codes. Do not rely on this tool alone to authenticate a product; combine it with packaging inspection and an authorised retailer.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the site freely for personal and commercial reference. You may not:

5. Intellectual property

The design, text, decoder logic and brand metadata on this site belong to Batch Code Checker. Brand names and product names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the coding format being decoded.

6. Affiliate and advertising disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links, and the site displays advertising. If you click an affiliate link and then buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects the results the decoder returns.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the checker available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or retire features as the decoder database evolves.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Batch Code Checker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the decoded results, or for loss arising from their use.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised version. The date at the top reflects the current version.
